Here at Backyard Defenders, we are proud to be your family owned and operated tick and mosquito control in the Chelmsford area for over five years. We offer both organic and synthetic treatment programs that will help control the presence of ticks and mosquitoes in your yard. Both our organic and conventional mosquito and tick barrier application is applied using a high-pressure sprayer truck around your property, including the lawn area, mulch beds, shrubs, ornamentals, and +/- 25 feet into the wood line perimeter.

Our treatment works in two ways to protect your property. First, the initial tick and mosquito treatment program will knock out current mosquitoes and ticks in the area. Second, once dried, the treatment leaves a residue that will control new mosquitoes and ticks that try to migrate to the area. Once sprayed, your yard will even be protected from other non-beneficial bugs, such as beetles, mites, stink bugs, spiders, chiggers, and more. Our treatments do not affect beneficial bugs such as bees and butterflies. Worms, amphibians, and lizards are also unaffected by the treatment.

2025 Season Treatment Programs

3 Week Mosquito & Tick Program*

→ Mosquitoes & Ticks (8 Treatments): Your yard will be treated every three weeks from your start date. Program will run through September. Best Results!

4 Week Mosquito & Tick Program*

→ Mosquitoes & Ticks (6 Treatments): Your yard will be treated every four weeks from your start date.  Program will run through September.

6 Week Mosquito & Tick Program*

→ Mosquitoes & Ticks (5 Treatments): You will see a reduction in the mosquito population for the first few weeks of each treatment.

7 Week Mosquito & Tick Program*

→ Mosquitoes & Ticks (4 Treatments): You will see a reduction in the mosquito population for the first few weeks of each treatment.
